CATS ON DECK
Cats On Deck is our first year leadership and mentoring program, targeted towards first-year business students who are eager to meet new people and gain some valuable leadership skills. We match an upperclassmen student with a first-year student, and send them to one social event and one professional event each month throughout the year. Mentors and mentees form strong friendships over the course of one year, and also learn from each other along the way. The program usually selects about 20 first-year students and 20 upperclassmen.
Lindner Outreach is a program designed to match students with local professionals and community groups to make tangible impacts on the community through service-oriented projects. Each semester, LSA plan about two days of service where students will join local professionals for various jobs throughout the community. In the past, Lindner Outreach has partnered with Fifth Third Bank, Vantiv, dunnhumbyUSA, General Cable, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and more. Some of the community partners include St. Joseph's Orphanage, Crossroads Cincinnati, Give Back Cincinnati, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, and more. This is a great way to get involved with the community and make a difference, while also having the benefit of making new connections and meeting new people. Participants are also eligible for schoalrship service hours if needed.
iCats is a mentoring program for First Year, Exchange and Transfer International Students entering into the Lindner College of Business for the fall of that academic year. iCats is organized and ran by LSA, and offers social, academic, and educational support through a yearlong peer advising program. We have the chance to assist incoming international students with the difficult transition into college life through:
• Pre-arrival Communication
• International Orientation
• Yearlong Peer Mentoring
• Campus Life and Professional Events
• Social Gatherings
From the minute international students are accepted into the Lindner College of Business they will be surrounded by top level undergraduate students within the college who are selected through a highly competitive interview and application process. The aim of iCats is to enhance the international student experience at the University of Cincinnati through personal interaction in an atmosphere of mutual respect of cultural differences.
As business students, we are COMPETITIVE! Staying involved in intramural sports allows us to showcase our competitive drive to always be the best. Whether that may be through volleyball, basketball, or other sports, we always try to win and foster strong sportsmanship and teamwork. In any business environment, working on teams is a vitally important skill, and we feel that hosting an LSA intramural team is a great way to build those skills in college, in addition to the many professional and classroom-related programs we coordinate.
In the past, LSA has brought home runner-up championships and semi-finalist finishes multiple times. However, we are yet to win an outright intramural championship. Join us this year to make our championship dream a reality!

As the student governing body within the business school, LSA hosts various events for the college as a whole that are open and encouraged for all students. Most of these events are intended to celebrate Lindner and its accomplished students, and other events are intended to give students special gifts, including apparel, food, various professionalism items, or other things that increase #LindnerPride.
These events include:
The Welcome Back Grill-Out
The Lindner Student Organization Fair
Tribunal Tuesday Give-Away's
The Lindner Week Grill-Out

lindner week - #celebratelindner
LSA plans and organizes Lindner Week, a week at the end of every academic year to celebrate the accomplishments of the college. Traditional Lindner Week events usually include speaker series, grill-outs, t-shirt give-away's, seminars and panel events, and sometimes even fashion shows.
